Outage of servers for IERS Rapid Service/Prediction and Conventions


Dear IERS users,

The IERS Rapid Service/Prediction web and FTP sites (maia.usno.navy.mil;
toshi.nofs.navy.mil) and the IERS Conventions web site
(maia.usno.navy.mil/conventions) have been offline since 24 October 2019
as they are undergoing modernization. These modernization efforts have
been interrupted by current events, and the estimated return to service
is no earlier than autumn of 2020.


Please use the following alternative product sites for Earth orientation
products during the shutdown:

ftp://cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/products/iers/ or
ftp://ftp.iers.org/products/eop/rapid/ or
https://datacenter.iers.org/eop.php
as a replacement for USNO's Rapid Service/Prediction product servers.
