Additions and updates to IERS website


Dear IERS users,

During the past few months, the following major additions and updates
have been made to the central IERS website www.iers.org:

1. Organizational changes:

In October 2014, Ralph Gaume left USNO, where his duties included
serving as the representative of the ICRS Center to the IERS Directing
Board. Alan Fey and Bryan Dorland are temporarily sharing the
responsibility of primary point of contact for USNO in support of the
ICRS Center until a replacement candidate is found.

The new IDS Analysis Coordination Team is now comprised of Hugues
Capdeville (CLS) and Jean-Michel Lemoine (CNES), who both started their
4-year terms on January 1, 2015. Hugues Capdeville has replaced Frank
Lemoine as the new IDS representative to the IERS Directing Board.

These changes have been reflected on the relevant organizational web
pages, and also at http://www.iers.org/History .


2. Unified Analysis Workshop

A Unified Analysis Workshop was held at California Institute of
Technology, in Pasadena, California, USA, from 27 to 28 June 2014. The
workshop program, summary, and presentations are available online at
http://www.iers.org/UAW2014 .


3. IERS Annual Report 2013

The IERS Annual Report 2013 was published online on 22 December 2014 at
http://www.iers.org/AR2013 .

At the end of February 2015, the printed version was distributed to
subscribers.


4. IERS Plot Tool

An interactive IERS Plot Tool is now available at
http://data.iers.org/plottool/publicv2 .

This tool allows users to configure 2D and 3D plots on the basis of IERS
EOP data, and to compare the different IERS EOP products on the basis of
EOP 08 C04 (IAU2000A).


5. Other changes

An extended list of acronyms has been revised with several additions and
updates: http://www.iers.org/Acronyms

Animated (rotating) 3D plots are also now available on the Earth
orientation data plots pages (available by clicking on the respective
"Plots" icon for each file at http://www.iers.org/EOP).
