                     ANNOUNCEMENT OF DUT1




     From the 1 January 1996, 0h UTC until further notice, 
the value of DUT1 to be disseminated with the time signals will be


                        DUT1 = + 0.5 s


     Note the change of sign due to the introduction of a leap second
     on 1 January 1996.


     Bulletin D 59 will be issued in December 1995.
