************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 560 June 23, 2026 ************************************************************************ Earth Orientation Parameters Session at AGU26 - Call for Abstracts Dear Colleagues, We would like to draw your attention to the G025 session at the AGU Annual Meeting 2026 in San Francisco: G025 - Variability, Determination and Prediction of Earth Orientation Parameters: Influence of Climate and Geophysical Fluids This session is dedicated to contributions on the accurate modelling and prediction of Earth's rotation, with a special focus on geophysical and climate signals in Earth Orientation Parameters (EOP). We invite studies exploring the links between Earth's rotation and various factors such as geophysical fluids, climate signals, and the gravity field variations. Contributions that leverage diverse data sources to explain the excitation of Earth's rotation are also welcome. We encourage studies applying modern prediction techniques, including machine learning, in combination with high-accuracy observational data and models. Additionally, we invite contributions on predicting other geodetic quantities, such as effective angular momenta or climate indices, using innovative approaches. Contributions focused on the determination of Earth rotation parameters using observational techniques, as well as on modelling their variability, are also welcome. We encourage you to submit an abstract and contribute to this session. We would also be grateful if you could circulate this announcement among colleagues who may be interested in participating. The abstract submission deadline is Wednesday, 5 Aug. 2026, at 23:59 EDT (03:59 UTC on Thursday, 6 August 2026). More information & abstract submission: https://agu.confex.com/agu/agu26/prelim.cgi/Session/280661 We look forward to your contributions and to engaging discussions at the AGU Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
