************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 557 June 12, 2026 ************************************************************************ Conclusion of the 2nd EOP PCC and EOP PML Comparison Campaigns Dear Colleagues, The Second EOP Prediction Comparison Campaign (2nd EOP PCC) has now been running for more than four and a half years, while its machine-learning-oriented sub-campaign (EOP PML) has been active for more than one and a half years, both well beyond the originally planned 70-week duration of the 2nd EOP PCC. During this period, we have compiled a unique and extensive dataset contributed by numerous teams worldwide, providing a valuable basis for the comparison and evaluation of EOP prediction methods. The campaigns have now reached a natural conclusion, as their main scientific objectives have been achieved and participation has become less frequent and more irregular. We have therefore decided to officially conclude the 2nd EOP PCC and EOP PML. The planned end date is 30 June 2026, with the final weekly submission scheduled for Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
