************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 552 February 24, 2026 ************************************************************************ 2nd EOP Prediction Comparison Campaign Workshop No. 3 Dear Colleagues, Following the successful 2nd EOP Prediction Comparison Campaign (2nd EOP PCC) Workshops (No. 1 in 2022 and No. 2 in 2023), we are pleased to announce the 3rd workshop, dedicated to the broadly defined topic of EOP forecasting and related aspects. The 2nd EOP PCC Workshop No. 3 will be held online on 8-9 April 2026. The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to summarize activities carried out within the post-operational phase of the 2nd EOP PCC campaign, particularly its EOP PML sub-campaign dedicated to machine learning-based forecasting methods, discuss future actions within the 2nd EOP PCC, EOP PML, and IERS Working Group on PEOP, and engage in scientific discussions on recent developments in EOP determination, prediction, and interpretation. We invite all interested researchers to take part in the Workshop and submit abstracts. We welcome contributions on all topics related to the determination, analysis, and prediction of EOP, as well as discussions on reference solutions for EOP prediction validation, effective angular momentum analyses, and other relevant subjects. A dedicated session for discussion is also planned. Abstract submission is now open, with a deadline of 23 March 2026. The registration deadline is 3 April 2026. There are no fees for abstract submission or registration. For more details, please visit the 2nd EOP PCC website: http://eoppcc.cbk.waw.pl/workshop-no-3-general-information/ .
