************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 529 March 03, 2025 ************************************************************************ ITRF session G01-2 at the IAG Scientific Assembly in Rimini (Sept. 2025) Dear colleagues, We would like to draw your attention to the scientific session G01-2: International Terrestrial Reference Frame: challenges, future developments and applications of the IAG Scientific Assembly 2025: Geodesy for a changing environment. The IAG Scientific Assembly 2025 will take place from September 1 to 5, 2025 in Rimini, Italy. We cordially invite you to submit your abstracts until March 15, 2025. The description of the session G01-2 can be found below or in addition with further details about the IAG Scientific Assembly 2025 on the conference website: https://eventi.unibo.it/iag2025 We look forward to reading your abstracts and meeting you in Rimini. Session description: The Terrestrial Reference Frame (TRF) is fundamental to study and locate global phenomena or objects at the Earth's surface, in the ocean or in space. It realizes the metrological basis for multiple applications from sea level determination to navigation. We solicit presentations addressing the current status of the TRF and advancements in TRF realization, on methodologies for TRF combination and quality control, on metrology of space geodetic infrastructure, on challenges such as scale realization including GNSS, on the impact of geophysical models on TRF, on future developments and trends in realization of TRF as well as on applications of TRF such as precise orbit determination. Best regards, Mathis Blossfeld, Paul Rebischung, Claudio Abbondanza, Ratnesh Kushwaha ************************************************************************ IERS Messages are edited and distributed by the IERS Central Bureau.
