************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 501 March 15, 2024 ************************************************************************ Postdoc Positions at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Prof. Jianli Chen at the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is currently seeking highly motivated candidates for two postdoc positions in the field of space geodesy and climate change. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. degree and research experiences in related fields, strong publication record, and proficient English communication skills. Prof. Jianli Chen has been working on topics related to global climate change and geophysical applications of space geodetic techniques, including satellite gravimetry, satellite altimetry, and other geodetic measurements for over 30 years. After spending 28 years of his academic career at the Center for Space Research, University of Texas at Austin, he joined PolyU in 2022 as a Strategic Hiring Scheme professor in space geodesy and climate change. The candidates are expected to work on two RGC and NSFC sponsored major projects on global and regional sea level change. HK PolyU offers competitive salary package.
