************************************************************************ IERS Message No. 117 July 12, 2007 ************************************************************************ Journees 2007 - Second Announcement and final call for presentations The Journees 2007 "Systemes de reference spatio-temporels", with the sub-title "The Celestial Reference Frame for the Future", will be held on 17-19 September 2007 (Monday to Wednesday), at Paris Observatory (on its Meudon site), France. The scientific program will be composed of the following sessions: Session 1: Plans for the new ICRF Session 2: Models and Numerical standards in Fundamental astronomy Session 3: Relativity in Fundamental astronomy Session 4: Prediction of Earth Orientation The Journees 2007 web page at: http://syrte.obspm.fr/journees2007/ provides the scientific rationale, lists of sub-sessions, invited talks, registered participants, presentation proposals and submitted abstracts, as well as practical aspects (e.g. access to Meudon Observatory, accommodation, contact, etc.). For registration and presentation proposal, please fill in the online registration form. Please register before 15 August 2007 in order to facilitate the local organization and note that the deadline for presentation proposals has been extended to 18 July 2007. An abstract corresponding to each presentation proposal must be submitted by 18 July 2007 with using the on-line abstract submission form. The SOC will decide about the acceptance of contributions and will inform the authors on the decision by 20 August 2007 with making available the final programme.
